American Cancer Society Award for Excellence in Care
According to the American Cancer Society, this national award recognizes individuals who "innovatively and consistently provide excellent and compassionate skilled care, counsel, and/or service to persons with cancer and their families."
Dr. Balan was cited for his "caring, down-to-earth approach" and for giving patients and families "an increased sense of strength, perseverance, and hope for the future."

"Stefan offers our patients compassionate and highly skilled cancer care, and sets an admirable standard for care delivery in oncology.
