Cancer Currents for February 2008

News and Notes
NCI Cancer Center Support Grant Completed

Every five years, the Cancer Center must submit a Cancer Center Support Grant renewal application to the NCI. This grant, which is connected to our NCI designation, supports our centralized research resources and services. On January 25, an eight-inch tall, 12-pound, 942-page document detailing our structure, progress, and successes was delivered to the NIH. Thanks are due to the many people who took part in this enormous undertaking over the past five years. The next step is a site visit from our NCI committee in May.
