Through a partnership with the American Cancer Society, Norris Cotton Cancer Center Manchester has a patient- and family-support specialist, known as a Patient Navigator, on our team. She meets with patients, their families, and the people taking care of the patient to make sure all their questions get answered.
This service is free and confidential, and is designed to take care of needs that go beyond medical care. For example, she helps patients and their families with:
- Information and resources for patients and caregivers
- Logistics, such as getting to and from treatment
- Financial complications and barriers
- Emotional supports
Our Patient Navigator also coordinates our support groups/education offerings.
