October 04, 2013
The Norris Cotton Cancer Center North, in St. Johnsbury, Vermont welcomes radiation oncologist Nirav S. Kapadia, MD as NCCC Director of Clinical Outreach.
Dr. Kapadia is familiar with the area, as he graduated from Dartmouth College in 2003 and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2008. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at University of Michigan, and is currently working on an MS degree at the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. His special interests include improving the quality and access of cancer care and research in the effectiveness of new technologies.
"Many patients living in the northernmost communities of VT and NH still travel long distances for cancer care," said Kapadia. "I am excited to be part of this clinic, which is making it easier for patients to receive a level of care equal to—or in some cases better than—care they should expect at major centers in big cities."
Dr. Kapadia started at NCCC North in September, and is currently accepting new patient referrals and consultations.
