As someone who will be getting chemotherapy, whether this is your first time or you've had it before, you can expect we will be talking with you about your treatment. We'll talk about the drugs, how they work, any concerns you might have, and what you can do to feel your best during treatment.

Sometimes it's hard to remember everything you hear. To help you remember what we've talked about, you will be given a packet containing the following information:

  • Chemotherapy and You
  • Specific Chemotherapy Information sheets
  • Chemotherapy Discharge Instructions
  • Nutrition for the Person with Cancer
  • Sexuality and Cancer (Male/Female)
  • Cancer Resource Brochure
  • Your Collaborative Health Care Team and You

Additional information, books, audiocassette tapes, videotapes, newsletters, pamphlets, community resource information and computer on-line access are all available in the Norris Cotton Cancer Center Patient Library.

We hope this information will help prepare you for your chemotherapy experience. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help during this time.
