Center for Shared Decision Making
The Center for Shared Decision Making at DHMC offers women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer help with making health care decisions. They have decision-making tools that focus on a patient's options, values and data on treatment outcomes. A patient can schedule a counseling appointment, or borrow VHS tapes, DVDs, audiotapes and booklets on specific topics. For more information, call (603) 650-5578.
Familial Cancer Program
The Familial Cancer Program (Cancer Risk Assessment) provides counseling for people who may have an increased risk of cancer because of their family history. If you are concerned about inherited cancer risks, you may request a private and confidential counseling session. For more information, call (603) 653-3541 or (800) 251-0097.
Palliative Care Program
The Palliative Care Program offers a comprehensive approach to living fully with a serious illness or advanced disease. They have in-patient and out-patient services, and also offer end-of-life hospice care. For more information, call (603) 650-5402.
