Kids at the 2nd Nature Academy in Nashua are significant supporters of Norris Cotton Cancer Center! When May rolls around each year, the children take part in a tricycle event to raise funds for cancer research and patient services at the facilities of The Nature of Things. What an inspiring event!

Friends Team Running The Covered Bridges Half Marathon

Skip Matthews Memorial Father's Day Run

The 9th Annual Skip Matthews Run on June 17 will commemorate the life of this exceptional friend, parent, husband, and personality. All proceeds from Skip's Run will benefit the Brain Tumor Research Fund at Norris Cotton Cancer Center. Participants choose from a 4-mile race or a 1-mile walk/fun-run (kids welcome!).

Eastman Golf Tournament

The Eastman Benefit for Norris Cotton Cancer Center features an amateur golf tournament at beautiful Eastman Golf Links. Players may sign up (PDF) as singles, doubles, threesomes, or foursomes (players will be placed into foursomes if not signing up as such). There will be a variety of opportunities to compete for prizes and awards. Refreshments will be available throughout the day, followed by an after-party with hearty hors d'oeuvres and award presentations. There are advertising and sponsorship opportunities (PDF) for businesses and individuals alike.

Cyclists will love this beautiful and challenging back-to-back century ride from Manchester, N.H., along scenic roadways into Hanover, N.H., the first day, participants then join The Prouty Century Ride on day two. Join the Ultimate fight against cancer!

Starting in Hanover, cyclists ride 20, 35, 50, or 100 miles through the gorgeous Upper Connecticut River Valley. Walkers choose a 3K, 5K, or 10K route in either residential or wooded trails (or combine them for an even greater challenge!). And, sculls and sweeps can Row The Prouty! Bring your own boat and row 5, 10, 15, or 20 miles up and back on the Connecticut River.

On one day, every year in Manchester, field hockey teams from all over New Hampshire participate in the Playing for Purpose Jamboree to support cancer research and patient services at Norris Cotton Cancer Center. GO TEAMS!!

Green Mountain Motorcycle Ride

Please join us on August 18, 2013 for the 11th Annual Green Mountain Motorcycle Ride. This scenic route starts at NCCC in Lebanon and takes motorcycle and scooter riders through the mountains and countryside of Vermont and New Hampshire. The event concludes back at the Cancer Center witha  BBQ celebration, guest speakers and live music.

Friends Fighting Cancer 5K

Join us for the 6th Annual Friends Fighting Cancer 5K walk/run road race and 400M Kids Race in Manchester, NH. You’ll love this attractive route that travels through the old Mill District along the Merrimack River. Then enjoy a complimentary food, a beverage from Milly’s Tavern at the Post-race Party which includes cash prizes, awards, T-shirts, and music!

BJ's & Norris Cotton Cancer Center invite survivors, family, and friends to a Pink Picnic luncheon. Pink Picnic celebrates survival, and honors those who offer hope, support, and love to cancer patients and survivors every day. The event provides complimentary hors d'oeuvres and refreshments and features inspirational guest speakers and special gifts.

Harpoon Octoberfest Road Race

Join the Friends Team in the Harpoon Octoberfest Road Race, while raising money to benefit the Friends of Norris Cotton Cancer Center. This 3.6-mile road race  kicks off the Sunday of Octoberfest starting at 11 a.m. in Windsor, VT. Work up an appetite for Harpoon Octoberfest beer, bratwurst, and some Oompah by kicking up your heels on this scenic course at the brewery. Prosit!

Colby-Sawyer Plays for Pink

Root on the North Atlantic Conference Volleyball Champion Chargers, as they team up for annual awareness and fundraising games! The annual Colby-Sawyer Plays for Pink event was started by the Chargers Women's Volleyball team and now includes Women's Field Hockey, Men's and Women's Soccer and Men's and Women's Swim and Dive.

River Valley Club Cancer Awareness Open House
October 2013

Join the RVC team for a chili cook off, pie bake off, whiffle ball tournament, pumpkin carving/painting (see sidebar), nail painting special at the spa and, especially for children, a face painting and glitter tattoo station. Prizes, donated by generous local businesses, will be awarded to contest winners and runner ups. All events are open to the public and take place outdoors in and around the RVC parking lot beginning at 12pm and lasting until 4pm. 

Monarchs Mullets in Movember Game
November 2013

Mullet Night returns to the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, N.H., to raise awareness of men’s cancers and raise funds for the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center. The first 3,000 fans at this hockey game will receive mullet wigs and moustaches! There are great group ticket packages available, so gather your gang and come see this game. Buy the $30 pack (ticket and T-shirt) and $5 will go to the cause!

Kimball Union Academy's Playing for a Cure Day
November 2013

All are welcome to attend Kimball Union Academy's "Playing for a Cure" games. Root on Kimball Union Academy (KUA) students as they play soccer and field hockey in this day-long event. The event includes pink shirts decorated with mustaches for sale (to show support of research for men's and women's cancers), a bake sale, donation cans, fan prizes, and more!
