More than 250 research projects and 150 clinical trials work to unlock the mysteries of cancer and translate the latest discoveries into today's best treatments and tomorrow's possible cure.
Each year, more than 5,200 new patients with cancer, primarily from New Hampshire and Vermont, come to the Cancer Center for diagnosis and treatment, and more than 20,000 receive continuing care. Through our Regional Cancer Program, the Cancer Center works with local hospitals, physicians, nurses, and community leaders to bring its specialized care to patients in the most convenient location possible-close to home.
At the Cancer Center, our goal is to meet the needs of our patients with the highest quality treatment, research and community education possible. We are intent on making cancer, in the words of the head of the National Institute of Health, chronic, not fatal. And we're succeeding.
