Supporting Cancer Science and Cancer Care

Last year's Prouty raised a record $2.5 million to support critical research and patient services at the Cancer Center. "Your participation in The Prouty has more impact than you might imagine on both cancer science and cancer care," says Mark Israel, MD, Cancer Center director. "The Prouty celebrates life, honors those who have gone before, and inspires us all. You have reason to be enormously proud, and I hope you will share that pride by continuing to participate in The Prouty in the coming years."

The latest issue of The Prouty newsletter (PDF) highlights 2011's Prouty, with an eye to succeeding on an even greater level this year. "Whether you walk, ride, row, volunteer, or donate, you are part of this passionate, committed, collaborative Prouty community," writes Prouty and Friends Executive Director Jean Brown. "We know that our work is not done because cancer keeps touching our families and friends. But we know that on July 13 and 14 we'll all be back, doing everything in our power to make a difference in the cause."
