Running for a Lifetime—and for Cancer
May 5's Total Image 5K/10K Road Race in Manchester, NH, is a personal mission for salon founder
This year's Total Image 5K/10K Road Race will be held on May 5 in Manchester, NH, and features a Cinco de Mayo theme.
The event, organized and hosted by Total Image Person Fitness Training, is a personal cause for Christine Lewis, a certified fitness trainer and the owner of the Total Image salon. As a cancer survivor, Christine feels a calling in her goal to keep her clients, and her community, physically fit for a lifetime.
"My life's ambition is to help as many people as I possibly can feel and look their best through fun, fast and effective exercise, and nutrition programs," she says.
The 5K and 10K races begin at 10 a.m. on May 5 at Jillian's Billiards Club at 50 Phillippe Cote Street in Manchester, NH, and both courses end at Jillian's as well. Runners will enjoy a Cinco de Mayo party at the finish line, including live entertainment, food, and raffles.
All proceeds benefit Norris Cotton Cancer Center and the Easter Seals New Hampshire Child Development Center.
Online registration is open through May 4 at www.totalimagept.com/race. Fees are $25 for the 5K event and $35 for the 10K. Online registration also provides the opportunity to make special contributions to either of the event's beneficiaries.
