Pancreatic Cancer Clinic
The interdisciplinary Pancreatic Cancer Clinic enables patients to see the multiple experts involved in their treatment planning and delivery in one location, at one coordinated visit. Prior to the clinic, specialists in the interdisciplinary pancreatic cancer tumor board meet to review each patient’s case and discuss the best treatment options. Then in the Clinic, patients meet with all the providers involved in their care, gain a clear understanding of their treatment plans, and set a date for their first treatment or surgery.
Pancreatic Cancer Clinic specialists include gastroenterologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, palliative care specialists, and oncology dietitians. Advance practice nurses provide coordination and support for patients, and a cancer research nurse provides education and support for patients who choose to receive treatment as part of a clinical trial.
