Sharing Difficult Decisions

The Center for Shared Decision Making helps when you need to make a difficult health care decision.

At times it can be hard to decide whether to have surgery, to have a test, or to continue with treatment. Shared decision making is a collaboration between patients and caregivers that helps you come to an agreement about a health care decision. It is especially useful when there is no clear "best" treatment option.

To find out more about the Center for Shared Decision Making, visit their website, stop by their offices at DHMC in Lebanon, call (603) 650-5578, or email shared-decision-making@hitchcock.org.

In Manchester, services are provided by our onsite social workers. For more information, call (603) 629-1828.

Services are offered free of charge.
