Nationwide crisis/suicide hotline. Referrals for youth or parents regarding drugs, domestic violence, homelessness, runaways, etc. Message relays and reports of abuse. The Trevor Project

Confidential, non-judgmental helpline for youth. Website has a chatroom with live help (Fri., 4pm-12am EST), and a 'Dear Trevor' section where youth can ask questions concerning sexual orientation or gender identity issues which will be answered. Social network for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth 13-24, their families and friends. Also has information for homeless youth.

National Call Center for Homeless Veterans

1-877-424-3838 (24 hr.) Trained VA counselors assist homeless veterans or at-risk for homelessness veterans and their families with information about local VA homeless programs and mental health services available. All calls are free and confidential. Online chatroom.
