Dartmouth Opportunities for Oncology Research (DOOR)

Opening doors to the next generation of cancer researchers is the top priority for Norris Cotton Cancer Center's DOOR

Dartmouth Opportunities for Oncology Research

Recruitment is underway for the first class of DOOR, a comprehensive two-year research training program for motivated undergraduates attending colleges or university in New Hampshire. Students will begin the program in the summer of 2017 with full time paid research jobs at Norris Cotton Cancer Center (NCCC). The program continues with online meet-ups during the academic year, a second paid summer job at NCCC in 2018 and a final year of online programs culminating in May 2019. Room and board at Dartmouth College will be provided during the summers.

The exciting DOOR program will include up to eight students who will participate fully in the intellectual life of the NCCC including special seminars, laboratory training, tutoring for the GRE, and journal clubs.

The DOOR program is federally funded by the National Cancer Institute, which specifies participants must be in one or more of these categories: under-represented minorities (African-American or Black, Hispanic or Latino, Native American, and Pacific Islander), disabled, veteran, first generation college students, or from an economically disadvantaged background (Pell Grant eligible).

If you would like to apply or have questions, contact Lyndsey Boulton. Applications are due January 3 and selection will be completed by February 1.
