"Hi, my name is Karen and I was diagnosed in July 2009 with stage IIIC ovarian cancer. It came as a total shock as I had been a very active and working person with very few health issues in my 51 years of life. I had a total hysterectomy followed by 12 treatments of chemo. In January my PET/CT scan showed no signs of cancer, so I took a three-month break from chemo and just recently began a maintenance chemo program, once every four weeks for one year."
