Assessing the Predictive Potential of Early Chimerism Analysis Following Allogeneic Stem-Cell Transplant

Principal Investigator

Study Number

D18125

Summary

This study is for adult patients who plan to have an allogenic stem cell transplant. After a transplant, doctors complete a chimerism analysis or a test of a patients cells to look at the DNA. This test is done to determine what percentage of patients cells are from the donor after transplant. Doctors at NCCC usually do chimerism testing between 30 and 100 days after a patients transplant. Participants in this study will have this chimerism analysis done at the usual timepoint and also sooner, about 15 days after transplantation. The purpose of this study is to see if doing the chimerism analysis sooner than the usual approach will help identify any problems earlier, get patients treatment sooner, and increase the chances of a successful transplant.
