Grand Rounds Lectures

Dartmouth Cancer Center typically holds Grand Rounds lectures on Tuesdays from 12:00 to 1:00 pm in the Barbara E. Rubin Building at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Our Events for Cancer Professionals listing shows our upcoming lectures.

Grand Rounds lectures:

  1. Cite new bench science findings that are relevant to patient care.
  2. Identify patient care observations in need of new basic studies.
  3. Demonstrate attention to patient-centeredness considerations; e.g., caregiver support, ethical conduct of trials, fulfillment of Institutional Review Board protections.
  4. Support population-based dissemination of best practices.
  5. Describe examples of interdisciplinary collaborations in the preceding areas.

Live and Recorded Grand Rounds

Most Dartmouth Cancer Center Grand Rounds lectures are recorded in video format. Most can also be viewed live online. Since 2008, podcast versions of the audio are also available. Use the links below to access the live and recorded versions of Grand Rounds lectures.

Target audience

The intended audience for Grand Rounds includes department faculty, fellows, residents, medical students, other health sciences students, nurses, allied health professionals, and community physicians.

Vendors: Not all Grand Rounds are open to the public. If you would like to attend a particular session, please email Sharon Williamson at sharon.e.williamson@dartmouth.edu to find out if you may attend. Check in with Security as soon as you enter the building and obtain a visitor badge. Vendors without badges will not be allowed into the session.

Credit, transcripts and accreditation

Receiving credit for lectures viewed online

AMA PRA Category 1 Credit is only available for lecture webcasts viewed live, in real time. The online evaluations are time-stamped, and credit will only be awarded for online evaluations submitted within one hour of the live lecture’s end time. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Accessing your current CME transcript online

The Center for Learning and Professional Development's CME/CNE Office provides CME Credit Transcripts online anytime. Transcripts are updated monthly.
