Principal Investigator

Bassem Zaki

Study Number

EA2182

Summary

This is a randomized Phase II study for people with early stage anal cancer. Researchers want to learn if using a lower-dose chemoradiation therapy regimen is better or worse than the using the standard dose chemoradiation therapy regimen for treating this type of cancer. Each participant will be equally assigned by a computer to one of two treatment groups. One treatment group will receive the lowerdose chemoradiation treatment regimen and the other treatment group will receive the standard chemoradiation treatment regimen. You will receive 20-28 radiation treatment sessions, depending on the size of your tumor and which arm you are assigned to. After completing treatment, you enter the follow-up period of the study for up to 5 years.
