For the fourth year in a row, the Dartmouth Cancer Center has received the Human Experience (HX) Pinnacle of Excellence Award from Press Ganey, the global leader in healthcare experience solutions and services. This award is part of Press Ganey’s annual ranking of the top hospitals and health systems in the country according to their performance in patient experience.
Reaching the Pinnacle of Excellence means that patients have consistently ranked Dartmouth Cancer Center in the top 5% of healthcare organizations nationwide in delivering exceptional experience. This national recognition reaffirms what we know to be the foundation of everything we do—harnessing our state-of-the-art research and clinical expertise to provide the highest level of compassionate patient-and-family-centered care to the communities we serve.
"This honor highlights continued focus and commitment to our patients. Our providers and frontline caregivers tirelessly show their compassion by going above what is expected and striving to provide comfort, minimize suffering and ensure safety while delivering excellent outcomes," says Dartmouth Cancer Center Director, Steven D. Leach, MD.
As New Hampshire and northern New England’s only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center, Dartmouth Cancer Center has a unique responsibility to care for the thousands of people of our region who have faced a cancer diagnosis. While every patient’s clinical journey is unique, they all share one fundamental characteristic—they are being cared for by our team of skilled and dedicated colleagues who are personally invested in their health and well-being. Our care teams understand and honor our patients as individuals through every touchpoint, office visit, procedure and treatment.
