Skin Cancers and Conditions

We care for patients with all types of melanomas and skin cancers as well as other benign (non-cancerous) skin conditions.

If you have been referred to us, it is most likely due to abnormal findings on imaging or during a physical exam. Our goal is to evaluate the results as quickly as possible to determine a list of potential diagnoses and a care plan.

Benign skin conditions

There are many types of non-cancerous skin tumors and lesions, such as:

  • Moles
  • Spitz nevi
  • Seborrheic keratoses
  • Hemangiomas
  • Lipomas
  • Warts

These tumors rarely ever turn into cancer. The Melanoma and Skin Cancer Program works closely with Dermatology to make sure you receive the most accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Decisions about the best treatment options are based on each individual patient’s individual diagnosis and disease stage. Your provider will explain your condition to you, help you determine a treatment plan and answer any questions you may have.
