Dartmouth student volunteers who offer help with chores
Many people undergoing treatment for cancer find it difficult to perform routine chores and feats involving physical strength. The Volunteers for Cancer Patients Program (VCP) sends Dartmouth student volunteers to the homes of people living with cancer on weekends when school is in session.
This program seeks to aid individuals and families affected by cancer who live within a 60 minutes' drive of Dartmouth College. Past projects have included raking leaves, cleaning gutters, stacking wood, shoveling snow, moving furniture, and light house cleaning. All of these services are provided for free for patients with cancer and their families who do not have the time or energy to attend to these tasks themselves.
To schedule a visit from a volunteer, contact Patient and Family Support Services at (603) 650-7751 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
