Families are given accurate information about their child's diagnosis and treatment options. Parents are an important part of the medical team and are involved in each step of the process.

We recognize that a cancer diagnosis does not happen to the child alone, but impacts the whole family. We strive to provide effective and useful support to each family member throughout the duration of treatment and beyond.

Care program

A core team sees children, followed by the pediatric hematology/oncology team of three oncologists, six members of the nursing staff, a dietician, a dedicated child life specialist, and a social worker. The team is supported by a range of pediatric specialists from Dartmouth Health Children's and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in many areas including radiology, pathology, surgery, neurosurgery, neurology, urology, and radiation-oncology.
