ASCO resource-stratified initiatives and global oncology
As part of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists (ASCO)'s program to create resource-stratified guidelines for several cancer types, Dartmouth Cancer Center's oncologist Mary Chamberlin, MD, was selected to co-chair an international committee of colon cancer experts. Her previous experience as a general oncologist and oncology work in Rwanda will help her lead the committee to devise risk-stratified guidelines for low resource settings.
Radiation oncologist Bassem Zaki, MD, also from Dartmouth Cancer Center is on the committee.
Richard Barth, MD, a surgical oncologist at Dartmouth Cancer Center and inventor of the CairnSurgical, Inc. breast locator will serve as an external advisor.
