The Cancer Research Training and Education Coordination (CRTEC) program provides cancer research training, experience, and education across the learner spectrum. CRTEC-led programs serve:
- High-school students
- Undergraduates
- Graduate students
- Medical students
- Postdocs and clinical fellows
- Faculty
- General community members
We work with partner organizations that administer cancer-relevant programs. We also provide expertise and/or funding.
- Cancer Biology Graduate Track at Dartmouth – A doctoral degree-granting program that trains the next generation of scientists and physician-scientists in cancer research.
- Cancer Faculty Fellows (CFF) – The program's goal is to support and provide resources for Cancer Center physicians so that they may find success leading cancer research. Success is demonstrated by the awarding of cancer-focused external independent grant funding and associated publications.
- Dartmouth Cancer Scholars – A selective program for undergraduate students from Dartmouth with demonstrated experience and interest in cancer research or clinical oncology.
- FAST TRACK – A speaker series that aims to increase funded training grants at DCC, the FAST TRACK system identifies, recruits, and supports faculty and trainees to lead and utilize the F, T, R and K awards.
- Grand Rounds Lectures – Grand Rounds Lectures are held regularly for healthcare professionals and focus on citing new research, care observations, best practices, and many other topics.
- Program for Oncology Workforce Education and Research Experience at Dartmouth (POWERED) – A comprehensive two-year training research program for undergraduates attending New Hampshire colleges and universities.
- Translational Oncology Program for Scholars (TOPS) – Active each summer for Geisel Medical School students interested in learning about what it's like to participate meaningfully in research while maintaining a clinical schedule.
